Membaca kode kerusakan (DTC) Sistem EFI Volvo 240,740,850,960 Tahun -1996 secara manual
Jika Lampu Check Engine menyala ketika mobil sedang hidup itu menandakan telah terjadi kerusakan yang terekam oleh sistem kontrol mesin.ECU akan menyalakan lampu indikator check engine di dashboard dan menyimpan kode kerusakan atau DTC didalam memori ECU.
Kode DTC tersebut dapat dibaca secara manual

Kode Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC)
Informasi umum
·
Kode DTC ditampilkan oleh kedipan lampu
LED pada Data Link Connector(DLC).
·
Kode kerusakan pada Control module Fuel system
dan Ignition sistem dapat diperiksa dan dihapus menggunakan tombol
yang terdapat pada DLC.
Cara Membaca DTC
- Pastikan Kunci kontak pada posisi OFF
- Buka penutup bagian atas Data Link Connector (DLC) yang berwarna hitam
- Masukkan kabel selector pada lubang pada DLC
Catatan :
Lubang No 2 : Untuk Fuel system
Lubang No 6 : untuk Ignition System
Lubang No 5 : Untuk Turbo Charger System
- Putar kunci kontak pada posisi ON.
- Tekan tombol selama 1 detik
Lampu LED menunjukkan kode kerusakan 2 - 2 - 3 |
Tiap kode kerusakan terdiri dari 3 bagian kedipan yang dipisahkan jeda beberapa detik pada tiap bagian. Contoh kedipan lampu LED menampilkan Kode kerusakan 223 Idle air control valve.
- Ulangi menekan tombol untuk membaca kode kerusakan yang lain. Dan bandingkan dengan kode yang pertama, apakah sama atau berbeda. Jika lampu LED kembali menampilkan kode 223 berarti kode kerusakannya hanya satu.
Catatan : Control Unit dapat menyimpan dan menampilkan 3 kode kerusakan sekaligus
- Putar kunci kontak ke posisi OFF dan perbaiki kerusakan.
Cara menghapus Kode kerusakan
- Pastikan kunci kontak off
- Masukkan kabel selektor ke DLC
Catatan :
Lubang No 2 : Untuk Fuel system
Lubang No 6 : untuk Ignition System
Lubang No 5 : Untuk Turbo Charger System
- Baca kembali kode kerusakan ( kode DTC hanya dapat dihapus jika telah dibaca )
- Tekan tombol DLC selama 5 detik
- Kemudian lepaskan tombol
- Kemudian tekan kembali tombol DLC selama 1 detik
- Pastikan lampu LED menampilkan kedipan 1- 1- 1, yang artinya tidak terdapat kerusakan.
